A volunteer station is an agency,
organization or program for which the FGP volunteer serves.
Volunteer stations specify the skills and interests of the kind of
person they need. They also designate the days and hours
during which they need volunteer help. Because a FGP placement
is cooperative, volunteer stations have the right to not accept
volunteers. Similarly, they can ask for volunteers to be
removed from their agencies if the relationships are not working.
Volunteer stations designate
coordinators who aid volunteers. Coordinators are responsible
for informing volunteers about their service duties and helping
volunteers learn about the facilities. Coordinators also sign
FGP monthly records.
If you are interested in becoming a
volunteer station, please contact the
project.
