The Volunteer Station Manual is a resource
tool for Volunteer Station Coordinators. It is intended to provide
a general understanding about managing Foster Grandparent Volunteers at
a Volunteer Station. Moreover, Inside the manual are five helpful
sections aimed at assisting Volunteer Station Coordinators in their
local and daily activities.
The manual contains five major sections with various sub-sections.
The first section,
Project Overview, provides a
general background about Northern Arizona University's Foster Grandparent
Program (FGP). In the second section, Volunteer Station, the
material outlines what it means to be an FGP volunteer station. Performance Measures, discusses the project's
focus to accomplish goals using a logic model and utilizing performance
accountability tools and strategies. In the next section, Volunteer
Management, tools and reference material explain the project's "4-R's" to
Volunteer Management, and, in the final section, Forms, the forms
used by the volunteer station coordinator, staff and Foster Grandparents
are available.
