WHAT IS RSVP?

RSVP is a non-profit organization that provides individuals age 55 and better with volunteer opportunities pursuing their own interests and utilizing their talents and experiences.  Volunteers are placed at non-profit and governmental agencies throughout six counties in North central and Northeast South Dakota.  Volunteers provide services that would otherwise not have been provided by these agencies.  The mission of RSVP is to provide these needed services, but also to keep seniors active and vital.  The work of RSVP volunteers helps to keep communities safer, neighbors healthier, children better educated, and seniors more active.

Last year, 788 North Central South Dakota RSVP volunteers donated almost 90,000 hours at 79 different agencies - making a difference in the communities we serve!!

RSVP is sponsored by the Corporation for National & Community Service, the United Way of Northeastern South Dakota, South Dakota Department of Social Services - Adult Services and Aging,  and Presentation College.
