Information for Existing Volunteers

Volunteers are interviewed, receive a criminal record check, and are placed in one of our 38 partner/stations.  The local partner/stations provide orientation and training.  Volunteers provide:  Friendly Visiting, Congregate Meal Site, Reading Coaches for K-4th grade students, ESL for Adults, Tax Aides, Money Managers, Ombudspersons, Meal-on-Wheels Drivers, Drivers for elders to local and out of town medical appointments, Project Warm Child (knitters), Blood drives, Food Pantries and Soup Kitchens, our House Numbering Project, and many more.  Volunteers are required to report their hours each month and the services they are providing to the community and the service partner/station they are placed in.

All RSVP receive: 

 Accident and Liability Insurance while on assignment

 A quarterly newsletter

 Limited mileage reimbursement to and from their local partner/station  ($15.00   per month)

Yearly Recognition Luncheon

Choice of volunteer assignments.
