SeniorCare RSVP helps provide volunteer
opportunities for people 55 + places them in one of the 38 non-profit organizations on the
North Shore. Volunteers get help in choosing an assignment that meets
their own interest and available times. RSVP volunteers contribute
anywhere from a few hours per week to over forty. They are placed in
local schools, hospitals, senior centers, police departments, and other
non-profit and public organizations on the North Shore. RSVP signature
programs are the RSVP America Reads Program, Tax Aide, and Project Warm
Child. RSVP offers volunteers maximum flexibility and choice to its
volunteers on assignments. We match the personal interest and skills of
older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems.
Senior Corps is
administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service,
which also oversees AmeriCorps and Learn and Serve America.
