RSVP Volunteers are screened for the assignment/s they are best qualified to perform - based on their own criteria. Applying volunteers are counseled for assignment selection. Training is provided for candidates in specialized assignments such as Literacy and Homeland Security activities.
Honorary RSVP Volunteers (under age 55) are screened, trained and placed in Service Activities approved for age-eligible volunteers.
Volunteer Service Activities are available in the management and operating systems of Mayflower RSVP, Inc., for volunteers of all ages.

Senior Corps taps the skills, talents, and experience of more than half a million Americans age 55 and older to meet community needs in education, the environment, public safety, homeland security, and other areas. Senior Corps is administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, which also oversees AmeriCorps and Learn and Serve America.
