The Merrimack Valley Community Service Corps (MVCSC) is located in a culturally diverse community just 30minutes north of Boston.   MVCSC has served the Greater Lawrence area through its Retired & Senior Volunteer (RSVP) program for 30 years.  MVCSC encompasses a variety of volunteer opportunities funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).  These opportunities include the Foster Grandparent Program (FGP), RSVP, Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC), and AmeriCorps VISTA. MVCSC encourages their volunteers to incorporate the arts and culture into education and human service activities.

Senior Corps taps the skills, talents, and experience of more than half a million Americans age 55 and older to meet community needs in education, the environment, public safety, homeland security, and other areas. Senior Corps is administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, which also oversees AmeriCorps and Learn and Serve America.
