Connecting Our Community Through Service

A little information about us:  El Dorado Connections is a non-profit organization that serves South Arkansas as a Volunteer Center.  It houses programs such as Retired Senior Volunteer Program, CareNet, AmeriCorps VISTA, Project LINUS, AARP, and many more.  For the past thirty-four years, South Arkansas Regional Health Center (SARHC) has been the sole sponsor.  A large portion of our operating budget comes from a grant from Corporation of National Service, matched by thirty percent share from SARHC.  In addition funds are received from Southwest Arkansas Area Agency on Aging, SHARE Foundation, Union County Community Foundation, Entergy, and individual contributions from the faith based community.  AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) members are provided through the Corporation of National Service to coordinate the programs and to assist in recruiting community volunteers to service.
