Senior Corps
The Retired & Volunteer Program
of Brevard County, Florida

RSVP, a federal program,  is sponsored locally by Community Services Council and has been for over 29 years.  RSVP recruits and places people 55 & better in meaningful volunteer opportunities that make an impact on our community.  Brevard's RSVP members provide many services to our community, from delivering hot nutritious meals to providing transportation to homebound seniors.  Our members also serve as Citizens On Patrol with the Sheriff's office, provide needed respite for caregivers, mentor Brevard's youth, and provide needed administrative services for the many nonprofits, government, and educational institutions in Brevard.  Our members serve from a few hours a week, to many days per month.  The volunteer at one agency to many at a time.  Others prefer short-term projects that make an instant impact, then move on to the next project.  To find out how you can help, contact your local RSVP office.

Senior Corps taps the skills, talents, and experience of more than half a million Americans age 55 and older to meet community needs in education, the environment, public safety, homeland security, and other areas. Senior Corps is administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, which also oversees AmeriCorps and Learn and Serve America.
